✳TEXTFROMLINK / HOW IT WORKS

A link. A little time. All the words.

From the recording you found to the text you can use. Here’s what happens along the way.

1. Bring a recording you can use

Paste a public YouTube or Instagram recording link, a direct media-file URL, or upload an original file. You must have permission to process its contents. No social account credentials are requested.

Uploads accept MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, and AAC, up to 100 MB. Sign in for a one-time cumulative 60-second trial. With credits, recordings can be up to 60 minutes. We read the length automatically and show the estimated charge before you confirm.

2. We look for the words

Accessible creator captions in the selected or source language are checked first. Platform automatic captions are not reused. If no suitable track is available, we fetch the public audio transiently, run speech recognition, and delete the audio right after processing.

The job is queued so large files do not freeze the page. You can follow its state on the result page. If a platform blocks access, we stop there; upload your authorized original instead.

3. Review, copy, or export

Read the timestamped result, search for a phrase, and correct anything that needs attention. Export TXT for documents or SRT/VTT for subtitles. Editing is local to the tab, and your downloads include those edits.

Check names, numbers, quotations, and speaker turns against the source. Download results within 24 hours; delete them sooner using the result page.

What happens to the allowance?

A job reserves the confirmed trial seconds or credit amount before it starts. Success settles the actual duration; failure releases unused reservations. The one-time 60-second free trial is cumulative, rounded up to whole seconds, and never resets each day, across devices or after deletion.
