AN EXAMPLE WITH THE CONTEXT INCLUDED

What an Instagram transcript looks like.

A short, illustrative example of spoken audio becoming timestamped text. This is an editorial sample, not a real creator’s recording.

From a spoken tip to text

00:00 · Speaker 1Here’s a small change that makes a room feel brighter.

00:04 · Speaker 1Move the lamp away from the corner and let the light reflect off the wall.

00:10 · Speaker 1You don’t need a new room. You need a different angle.

The timestamp marks the start of each segment. Speaker labels appear only when the configured engine returns them; they are included here to illustrate the format.

Choose the right link

Copy the link from the individual public Reel or video post. A URL shaped like instagram.com/reel/POST_ID/ identifies a Reel; a creator profile does not. Private posts, Stories, Highlights, and live streams are unsupported.

What the transcript leaves out

Post descriptions, comments, stickers, and text overlays are not extracted. The service retrieves accessible captions or transcribes speech. If Instagram blocks the download, upload an original recording that you are allowed to process.

Take the text to your next step

Use TXT for notes, SRT for a video editor, or VTT for a web player. Review the audio and correct names, numbers, and timing before you publish. A transcript does not grant permission to reuse a creator’s content.
